About this tool

What is the feature-benefit mapper for?
Catching feature-speak in product copy. Enter a feature and the tool prompts you to articulate the customer benefit — what the feature actually does for the user, not just what it is. Essential for landing pages, sales decks, and release notes.
How does it differ from just writing copy?
It forces a structured answer to 'so what?' for every feature. The output separates feature (what it is), benefit (what it does), and proof point (why to believe it).
Can I export the output?
Yes. Export as a Markdown table or copy as plain text to paste into a doc, Notion, or Figma.
Is it useful for competitive positioning?
Yes. Map your features to benefits, then map competitor features to benefits. Gaps in their benefit column are your differentiation opportunities.
About

Map features → benefits → outcomes. We flag "feature-speak" rows (api/integration/architecture words) and rows missing a benefit.

Rewrite formula: state the feature → ask "so what?" until it hits a human outcome → rewrite as what the customer gains.

If you can put "so what?" after your sentence and it still needs an answer, it's a feature.
